International Graphite (ASX:IG6) is developing as one of the first Australian producers of processed graphite products, including battery anode material for lithium-ion batteries, to support the global revolution in electric vehicles and green energy technologies. The company plans to produce purified, coated spherical graphite to the highest ESG standards, with supply chain oversight from mine to market.

IG6 owns a high grade natural flake graphite resource in Western Australia and is moving to establish an open cut mine producing graphite concentrate for the company’s planned downstream graphite processing operations, at Collie in Western Australia. A pilot scale micronising and spheroidising plant has been commissioned with a 3000tpa micronising facility expected to be operational in 2024.
