The 210ha Strategic Industrial Area is located 7.5km east of Collie near the former Shotts townsite. It is strategically positioned between the Muja Power Station and the Bluewaters Power Station, existing infrastructure, supply connections, and associated coal mines.

Development areas ranging in size from 12ha to 60ha are available for strategic and downstream processing industries, which will be allocated by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification through a lease arrangement with DevelopmentWA.

Land is available for long term lease.

The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED) is the lead agency for the development of the Shotts SIA and DevelopmentWA is the estate manager.

Proponents intending to locate in the Shotts SIA will be required to submit a Proponent Project Proposal to DEED and DevelopmentWA.
