Sustainable living set on 1,245 hectares of farmland in the South West corner of Western Australia in the Shire of Dardanup. The new city of Wanju will be located just east of Bunbury and 185km south of Perth. It will accommodate 60,000 people and almost 20,000 homes.

We’re designing a city from the ground up, creating an opportunity like no other. The city of Wanju will be developed with imagination, creativity and innovation, providing a new city centre focused on sustainable living and utilising renewable resources in its construction.

A District Structure Plan for the new city of Wanju has beenprepared collaboratively by the Department of Planning and the Shire of Dardanup. 

Significant employment and business opportunities will be developed within Wanju to achieve a unique 'live and work locally' lifestyle. Over 4,000 jobs are expected to be delivered through multiple towns and neighbourhood centres, boosted by the proximity of Waterloo Industrial Park located immediately to the south of Wanju.

The primary Wanju centre will be a significant sub-regional address within the Bunbury Geographe region, boasting a variety of uses -commercial, retail, servicing, community, entertainment, health, recreation and residential.
